Bible Lesson: Prophecies And Their Fulfillment. Bible Prophecy: Promised Messiah, Hated Without A Cause.
Bible Lesson: Prophecies And Their
Fulfillment.
Bible Prophecy:
Promised Messiah, Hated Without A Cause.
Bible Text:
Psalm 69:4 NKJ
Those who hate Me without a cause
Are more than the hairs of My head; They are mighty who would destroy
Me, Being My enemies wrongfully; Though I have stolen nothing, I
still must restore it.
Psalm 109:3-5 NKJV
3 They have also surrounded Me with
words of hatred, And fought against Me without a cause.
4 In return for My love they are My
accusers, But I give Myself to prayer.
5 Thus they have rewarded Me evil
for good, And hatred for My love.
Prophecy Fulfillment:
John 15s:23-25 NLT
23 Anyone who hates Me also hates My
Father.
24 If I hadn’t done such
miraculous signs among them that no one else could do, they would not
be guilty. But as it is, they have seen everything I did, yet they
still hate Me and My Father.
25 This fulfills what is written in
their Scriptures: ‘They hated Me without cause.’
It is one thing, if
the guilty suffer for their crimes, but certainly, it is something
else if the innocent suffer for crimes they did not do, how great
indeed must that suffering be.
John 8:46 KJV
Which of you convinceth Me of
sin?..."
I Peter 2:22 KJV
Who did no sin, neither was guile
found in His mouth:
The innocent,
suffering for the guilty.
This was the story
presented from the very beginning of time.
Eve and Adam had
sinned, and they faced judgment, and death. Fig leaves could not hide
their sins.
Genesis 3:21 NLT
And The Lord God made clothing from
animal skins for Adam and his wife.
Animal skin, from a
dear lamb, of Abel.
An innocent lambs'
blood, was offered up, so that Adam and Eve could have their sins
covered.
John 1:29 KJV
The next day John seeth Jesus coming
unto him, and saith, Behold The Lamb Of God, which taketh away the
sin of the world.
II Corinthians
5:21 NLT
For God made Christ, who never
sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made
right with God through Christ.
God's sinless
Lambs' blood, was offered up, so that we might be clothed in His
righteousness.
Psalm 132:9 KJV
Let thy priests be clothed with
righteousness; and let thy saints shout for joy.
Isaiah 61:10 KJV
I will greatly rejoice in The Lord,
my soul shall be joyful in my God; for He hath clothed me with the
garments of salvation, He hath covered me with the robe of
righteousness, as a Bridegroom decketh Himself with ornaments, and as
a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.
Revelation 19:8
KJV
And to her was granted that she
should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen
is the righteousness of saints.
God's spotless
Lamb, took our place in judgment (for sin), that we might have the
righteousness of Christ.
Isaiah 53:1-12
GNT
1 The people reply, “Who would
have believed what we now report? Who could have seen The Lord's hand
in this?
2 It was the will of The Lord that
His Servant grow like a plant taking root in dry ground. He had no
dignity or beauty to make us take notice of Him. There was nothing
attractive about Him, nothing that would draw us to Him.
3 We despised Him and rejected Him;
He endured suffering and pain. No one would even look at Him— we
ignored Him as if He were nothing.
4 “But He endured the suffering
that should have been ours, the pain that we should have borne. All
the while we thought that His suffering was punishment sent by God.
5 But because of our sins He was
wounded, beaten because of the evil we did. We are healed by the
punishment He suffered, made whole by the blows He received.
6 All of us were like sheep that
were lost, each of us going his own way. But The Lord made the
punishment fall on Him, the punishment all of us deserved.
7 “He was treated harshly, but
endured it humbly; He never said a word. Like A Lamb about to be
slaughtered, like a sheep about to be sheared, He never said a word.
8 He was arrested and sentenced and
led off to die, and no one cared about His fate. He was put to death
for the sins of our people.
9 He was placed in a grave with
those who are evil, He was buried with the rich, even though He had
never committed a crime or ever told a lie.”
10 The Lord says, “It was My will
that He should suffer; His death was a sacrifice to bring
forgiveness. And so He will see His descendants; He will live a long
life and through Him My purpose will succeed.
11 After a life of suffering, He
will again have joy; He will know that He did not suffer in vain. My
Devoted Servant, with whom I am pleased, will bear the punishment of
many and for His sake I will forgive them.
12 And so I will give Him a place of
honor, a place among the great and powerful. He willingly gave His
life and shared the fate of evil men. He took the place of many
sinners and prayed that they might be forgiven.”
Prayer:
Acts 2:21 KJV
“And it shall come to pass, that
whosoever shall call on the name of The Lord shall be saved.”
