Bible Lesson: Conversations With Jesus: The Wise And Foolish Virgins.

Bible Text:

The Ten Virgins.

Text:
Matthew 25:1-13 KJV
1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the Bridegroom.
2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
5 While the Bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the Bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet Him.
7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
10 And while they went to buy, the Bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with Him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
12 But He answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein The Son of Man cometh.

We will in this blog, give the Christian interpretation of this parable, in another blog to come, we will give another interpretation of this story of Jesus.

The Bridegroom is the Lord Jesus Christ.

John 3:29 KJV
He that hath the bride is The Bridegroom: but the friend of the Bridegroom, which standeth and heareth Him, rejoiceth greatly because of The Bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.

John 3:29 NLT
It is The Bridegroom who marries the bride, and the best man is simply glad to stand with Him and hear His vows. Therefore, I am filled with joy at His success.

His coming is delayed.

II Peter 3:9 KJV
The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is long suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

The Marriage, that of Christ's and His born-again believers, the church.

I Thessalonians 4:13-18 KJV
16 For The Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet The Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with The Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Revelation 19:17-19 KJV
7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honor to Him: for the marriage of The Lamb is come, and His wife hath made herself ready.
8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of The Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

The Oil, is a type of God The Holy Spirit.

Oil (a type of God The Holy Spirit) was used in anointing for separating one to Godly service.

Acts 10:38 KJV
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with The Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with Him.

John 13:15 KJV
For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.

Luke 1:15 NLT
For He (Jesus Christ) will be great in The Eyes Of The Lord. He must never touch wine or other alcoholic drinks. He will be filled with The Holy Spirit..."

Ephesians 5:18 KJV
And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with The Spirit;

The Wise Virgins are the true Spirit filled believers, with abundance of oil in their vessels.

Acts 13:52 KJV
And the disciples were filled with joy, and with The Holy Ghost.

The Foolish Virgins, are professing Christians, without any possession of The Spirit Of God (the oil), their faith is a ritualistic, empty religion, based upon the "traditions of men."

Matthew 7:21-23 KJV
21 Not every one that saith unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of My Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity.
(A church, that did religious works etc..but who were “workers of iniquity.” Why, because they lead men into a false religion, one of rituals and works not one of faith and the grace of God!)

All had been warned, “And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, The Bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet Him. (vs 6)”
All arose, from their slumber.
All virgins, trimmed their lamps.

The wise virgins, had an abundance of oil for the long wait, but the foolish virgins did not.

Matthew 25:8 NRSV
The foolish said to the wise, “Give* us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out

Give*-Greek-Didomi (Did-o-mee): Deliver up, yield....etc... (Abingdon / Strong)

Who among you think this a loving request?
Not so.

This demand by the foolish virgins was due to their being “discovered,” without oil.
Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.”

How are we to reckon this?
One must bring to mind the Apostle Paul's words....

Ephesians 6:11 KJV
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in The Lord, and in the power of His might.
11 Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles* of the devil.

Wiles*-Greek-Methodeia (Meth-od-i-ah): Trickery, wile, lie in wait.

How does this apply, to our world? The false and the true, side by side in many respects difficult to discern the differences between the two.
And yet, if we do not, we ourselves shall one day hear...”But He answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. (vs.12)”

The Word of God, is the demarcation, between what is true and what is false, what is light, and what is darkness.

Revelation 22:18,19 KJV
18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Isaiah 8:20 KJV
To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

What had the Foolish Virgins demanded of the wise?
One word, and it is what the true church of the Blessed Lord Jesus, must be on guard for all our lives, and that dear brothers and sisters -
is the all to common call of today....of “COMPROMISE!”

Genesis 3:1 (The serpent.)
"...Yea, hath God said,...?"

Compromise, your oil!

Church of the Lord Jesus, NEVER, ever, under any circumstances compromise the precious Word of God!

Revelation 12:11 KJV (The early believers.)
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Church of God, never compromise your oil!
Never lessen your standards regarding “abortion, immorality, sexuality, clergy, worldliness, honesty, truth, etc. etc. etc. etc..

Dear brother and sister, the hour is late, the coming of The Bridegroom draws nigh, do not be deceived!
Those who “Compromise,” their oil, will end in darkness, lost.

Matthew 24:42 KJV
Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

II Corinthians 6:14-18 KJV
14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of The Living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith The Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
18 And will be A Father unto you, and ye shall be My sons and daughters, saith The Lord Almighty.

Mark 13:37 KJV
And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

Prayer:

Psalm 119:89-91 NLT
89 Your Eternal Word, O Lord, stands firm in heaven.
90 Your faithfulness extends to every generation, as enduring as the earth you created.
91 Your regulations remain true to this day, for everything serves your plans.

I Corinthians 15:58 KV
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of The Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in The Lord.

I Corinthians 16:13 NLT
Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong.

Women Equal To Men?

Bible Questions Answered:
“Are women equal to men in God's eyes?...”
Alex/ Seattle, Washington U.S.A.
Bible Answer:

Bible Texts:
Question: Are women equal to men, in God's eyes?
Answer: Yes!

Galatians 3:28 KJV
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Romans 10:12 KJV
For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon Him.

Now although this is true, men and women do not have the same, God given roles.

Position of women in the family or church:

I Corinthians 14:34,35 KJV (The Apostle Paul/ who wrote 14 of 27 New Testament books.)
34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.
35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

I Timothy 2:11-15 KJV
11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
12 But I suffer (permit) not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
(And why is that Apostle Paul?)

13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve. (1)
14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. (2)
15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in child bearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

Wives are to be under the authority of their husbands.

Ephesians 5:22 KJV
Wives, submit yourselves unto your husbands, as unto The Lord.

Colossians 3:18 KJV
Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in The Lord.
(As long as he does not, violate the will of God.)

I Corinthians 11:8,9 KJV
8 For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man.
9 Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.

God's chain of authority, wife under the authority of her husband, children under the chain of authority of both mother and father.

The wife is to be the helpmate of her husband. This chain of authority, is not man's doing, it is God's as clearly seen in The Word.

A word or two about the husband.

Ephesians 5:25 KJV
Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave Himself for it.

Colossians 3:19 NLT
And you husbands must love your wives and never treat them harshly.

I Peter 3:7 KJV
Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honor unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.

The husband, who is under the authority of Christ, is to love his wife as Christ, so loved the church, which He gave His life for.
When we all love each other and fill our roles as given by The Lord, that is when we will know true happiness and blessing.

The Psalmist has well said...

Psalm 127:1 KJV
Except The Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it...”

Prayer:

Matthew 26:39 KJV
And He (Jesus) went a little farther, and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, O my Father,...not as I will, but as thou wilt.

Bible Questions Answered:
“What kind of a body did the resurrected Jesus have?...”
Carl/ Houston, Texas U.S.A.
Bible Answer:

Bible Texts:
Luke 24:36-48 KJV (The resurrected Lord Jesus.)
36 And as they thus spake, Jesus Himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
37 But they were terrified and frightened, and supposed that they had seen a spirit.
38 And He said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in y0ur hearts?
39 Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself: handle Me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see Me have.
40 And when He had thus spoken, He shewed them His hands and His feet.
41 And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, He said unto them, Have ye here any meat?
42 And they gave Him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb.
43 And He took it, and did eat before them.
44 And He said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning Me.
45 Then opened He their understanding, that they might understand The Scriptures.
46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem .
48 And ye are witnesses of these things.

The Apostle Paul, describing the rapture of the church, describes yet the glorified body.

I Corinthians 15:49-58 KJV
49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of The Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in fain in The Lord.

Our Lord ascended into heaven in a glorified body.

Glorified Body:

Job 19;24-27 KJV
25 For I know that my Redeemer liveth, and that He shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:
26 And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:
27 Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.

Matthew 13:43 KJV
Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Matthew 17:1,2 KJV
1 And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart,
2 And was transfigured before them: and His face did shine as the sun, and His raiment was white as the light.

Matthew 22:30 KJV
For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

Luke 20:34-36 KJV
34 And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage:
35 But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:
36 Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.

John 3:15 KJV
That whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal Life.

John 5:28,29 KJV
28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear His voice,
29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of Life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

John 14:23 KJV
Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love Me, he will keep My Words: and My Father will love him, and We will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

John 20:26 KJV
And after eight days again His disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.

Acts 17:28 KJV
For in Him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also His offspring..

Romans 8:17 KJV
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with Him, that we may be also glorified together.

Romans 8:29 NLT
For God knew His people in advance, and He chose them to become like His Son, so that His Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.

II Corinthians 3:18 KJV
But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of The Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by The Spirit Of The Lord.

II Corinthians 5:1-5 NLT (New Bodies)
1 For we know that when this earthly tent we live in is taken down (that is, when we die and leave this earthly body), we will have a house in heaven, an eternal body made for us by God himself and not by human hands.
2 We grow weary in our present bodies, and we long to put on our heavenly bodies like new clothing.
3 For we will put on heavenly bodies; we will not be spirits without bodies.
4 While we live in these earthly bodies, we groan and sigh, but it’s not that we want to die and get rid of these bodies that clothe us. Rather, we want to put on our new bodies so that these dying bodies will be swallowed up by life.
5 God Himself has prepared us for this, and as a guarantee He has given us His Holy Spirit.

Philippians 3:10,11 NLT
10 I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised Him from the dead. I want to suffer with Him, sharing in His death,
11 so that one way or another I will experience the resurrection from the dead!

Philippians 3:21 KJV
Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto His glorious body, according to the working whereby He is able even to subdue all things unto Himself.

Colossians 3:4 KJV
When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

I Thessalonians 4:13-18 NLT (The Hope of the Resurrection)
13 And now, dear brothers and sisters, we want you to know what will happen to the believers who have died so you will not grieve like people who have no hope.
14 For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus returns, God will bring back with Him the believers who have died.
15 We tell you this directly from The Lord: We who are still living when The Lord returns will not meet Him ahead of those who have died.
16 For The Lord Himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, the believers who have died will rise from their graves.
17 Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet The Lord in the air. Then we will be with The Lord forever.
18 So encourage each other with these words.

I John 3:2 KJV
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is.

Revelation 1:13-17 KJV
13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto The Son Of Man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.
14 His head and His hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and His eyes were as a flame of fire;
15 And His feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and His voice as the sound of many waters.
16 And He had in His right hand seven stars: and out of His mouth went a sharp two edged sword: and His countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.
17 And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead..."

Revelation 20:6 KJV
Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

Revelation 21:4 KJV
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Prayer:

II Corinthians 5:21 KJV
For He (God The Father) hath made Him (Jesus Christ His Son) to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.

John 3:3,16,17,36 KJV
3 Jesus answered and said unto him (Nicodemus), Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His Only Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting Life.
17 For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.
36 He that believeth on The Son hath everlasting Life: and he that believeth not The Son shall not see Life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Bible Lesson: Conversations With Jesus: Second Coming Of Christ- The Signs Of The

Bible Text:

The church of The Lord Jesus Christ, will have been secretly raptured up to heaven for some 7 years before. What follows on earth next is the Tribulation period. The Tribulation ends with Armageddon and the visible return of The Lord Jesus, and with throngs of angelic military force, from heaven.

Joshua 5:13-15 NLT
13 When Joshua was near the town of Jericho, he looked up and saw A Man standing in front of him with sword in hand. Joshua went up to Him and demanded, “Are you friend or foe?”
14 “Neither one,” He replied. “I am The Commander Of The Lord’s Army.” At this, Joshua fell with his face to the ground in reverence. “I am at your command,” Joshua said. “What do you want your servant to do?”
15 The Commander Of The Lord’s Army replied, “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy.” And Joshua did as he was told.

Matthew 16:27 KJV
For The Son Of Man shall come in the glory of His Father with His angels; and then He shall reward every man according to his works.

Matthew 24:31 KJV (Be sure to read the whole chapter.)
27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of The Son Of Man be.
28 For wheresoever the carcass is, there will the eagles (Vultures – NLT) be gathered together.
(A sign of death and destruction.)
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30 And then shall appear the sign of The Son Of Man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see The Son Of Man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31 And He shall send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Matthew 25:31-46 KJV (Be sure to read the whole chapter.)
31 When The Son Of Man shall come in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then shall He sit upon The Throne Of His Glory:
32 And before Him shall be gathered all nations: and He shall separate them one from another, as
A Shepherd divideth His sheep from the goats:
33 And He shall set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left.
34 Then shall The King say unto them on His right hand, Come, ye blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
35 For I was an hungered, and ye gave Me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave Me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took Me in:
36 Naked, and ye clothed Me: I was sick, and ye visited Me: I was in prison, and ye came unto Me.
37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungered, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these My brethren, ye have done it unto Me.
41 Then shall He say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from Me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and His angels:
42 For I was an hungered, and ye gave Me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave Me no drink:
43 I was a stranger, and ye took Me not in: naked, and ye clothed Me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited Me not.
44 Then shall they also answer Him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungered, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
45 Then shall He answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to Me.
46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into Life eternal.

Matthew 26:64 KJV
Jesus saith unto him (The High Priest), Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see The Son Of Man sitting on The Right Hand Of Power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

Bible Questions Answered:
“Because I don't go to church, folks do, I don't, a friend invited me to go to his church with him, so I did. Everything was beautiful, the church was big, large choir, etc. No preaching that I thought all churches did. Communion, but I felt something was wrong about it...”

Bible Answer:

Bible Texts:
FORMALISM:

Something was wrong about it, a church's responsibility is the worship of The Lord Jesus Christ, not a show of rituals and musical numbers, however great, etc. etc...

II Timothy 3:5 KJV
Having a form of Godliness, but denying The Power thereof: from such turn away.

A Church Of Formalism:

Matthew 7:21-23 KJV
21 Not every one that saith unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of My Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity.

Matthew 15:7-9 KJV
7 Ye hypocrites, well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying,
8 this people draweth nigh unto Me with their mouth, and honoreth Me with their lips;; but their heart is far from Me.
9 But in vain they do worship Me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Isn't it The Father's will in heaven....

To have men call Him, Lord, in the church?
To have prophecy, in the church?
To cast out evil spirits, in the church?
To do wonderful works in the church?

Yes, but, The Savior did not come to die on Calvary's cross, for these religious works to exist, He came so that in His church, through the preaching of The Gospel, there would be...

Repentance (Confession and the forsaking of sin, the altar call.)
Forgiveness (of others, who have sinned against us.)
Acceptance of The Lord Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
Baptism, public confession of ones faith.

The first four....

Calling Jesus Lord
Prophecy
Exorcisms
Religious Works

Must, never, replace or usurp...

Repentance (asking The Lord, for forgiveness, for one's sin and forsaking them.)
Forgiveness of others.
Acceptance of Jesus as Lord and Savior.
Baptism (confession)

Ephesians 2:8,9 KJV
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is The Gift Of God.
9 Not of works (religious), lest any man should boast.

Titus 3:5,6 KJV
5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of The Holy Ghost.
6 Which He shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior;

I Have Decided To Follow Jesus

I have decided to follow Jesus;
I have decided to follow Jesus;
I have decided to follow Jesus;
No turning back, no turning back.

The world behind me, the cross before me;
The world behind me, the cross before me;
The world behind me, the cross before me;
No turning back, no turning back.
Though none go with me, still I will follow;
Though none go with me, still I will follow;
Though none go with me, still I will follow;
No turning back, no turning back.

My cross I’ll carry, till I see Jesus;
My cross I’ll carry, till I see Jesus;
My cross I’ll carry, till I see Jesus;
No turning back, no turning back.

Will you decide now to follow Jesus?
Will you decide now to follow Jesus?
Will you decide now to follow Jesus?
No turning back, no turning back.

Romans 12:1 KJV
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

I Corinthians 6:2O KJV
For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

Satan - Hinders

Bible Questions Answered:
“...and I believe that other good things would have happened too, if the enemy had not interfered...”
Pat/ Chicago, Illinois U.S.A.

Bible Answer:

Bible Texts:
I Thessalonians 2:18 KJV
Wherefore we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered* us.

*Hindered- Greek: Egkopto (Eng-kop-to): Impede, detain; hinder.

Our enemy is always looking for ways to stop the work of The Lord.

Diversion:

II Corinthians 4:4 KJV
In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest The Light of the Glorious Gospel Of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

I John 2:15,16 KJV
15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of The Father is not in him.
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of The Father, but is of the world.

Deception:
II Thessalonians 2:2,3 KJV
2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
3 Let no man deceive you by any means..."

Doubtful Mind:
Romans 14:21-23 KJV
21 It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak.
22 Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth.
23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

Double Mindedness:
James 1:8 KJV
A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

Matthew 6:24 KJV
No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon (money).

Darkness:\

Isaiah 1:10 NLT
Listen to The Lord, you leaders of Israel! Listen to The Law of our God, people of Israel. You act just like the rulers and people of Sodom and Gomorrah.

Isaiah 5:20 KJV
Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

Deadness:
James 2:26 KJV
For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

Delay:
Luke 9:59-62 KJV
59 And He said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer (permit) me first to go and bury my father.
60 Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.
61 And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house.
62 And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

What is the answer to all of this opposition, it is prayer!

I Chronicles 16:11 KJV
Seek The Lord and His strength, seek His face continually.

Matthew 26:41 KJV
Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Luke 18:8 KJV
And He spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

Ephesians 6:18 KJV
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in The Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

I Thessalonians 5:17 KJV
Pray without ceasing.

Prayer:

Romans 8:34-39 KJV
34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at The Right Hand Of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

II Timothy 1:12 KJV
For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him against that day.

Hebrews 7:25 KJV
Wherefore He is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by Him, seeing He ever liveth to make intercession for them.
