Bible Questions Answered:

What are some of the ways, that do not , lead to salvation?...”

Bible Answer:

Some wrongly believe that a life of good works, surely lead to salvation.

But the Scriptures warn us....

Mark 16:16 KJV

He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

John 1:12,13 KJV

12 But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name:

13 Which were born, not of .....

blood, nor of

the will of the flesh, nor of

the will of man, but of God.

John 3:14-18,36 KJV

14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must The Son Of Man be lifted up:

15 That whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.

16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His Only Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.

18 He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of The Only Begotten Son Of God.

36 He that believeth on The Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not The Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

John 5:24 KJV

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth My Word, and believeth on Him that sent Me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

John 6:35,37 KJV

35 And Jesus said unto them, I am The Bread Of Life: he that cometh to Me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on Me shall never thirst.

37 All that The Father giveth Me shall come to Me; and him that cometh to Me I will in no wise cast out.

John 6:40,44,65 KJV

40 And this is the will of Him that sent Me, that every one which seeth The Son, and believeth on Him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

44 No man can come to Me, except The Father which hath sent Me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

65 And He said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto Me, except it were given unto him of My Father.

Acts 13:38,39 NLT

38 “Brothers, listen! We are here to proclaim that through this Man Jesus there is forgiveness for your sins.

39 Everyone who believes in Him is made right in God’s sight—something the law of Moses could never do.

Acts 16:31 NLT

And they said, Believe on The Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

Romans 3:22-26 NLT (Christ Took Our Punishment)

22 We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are.

23 For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. 24 Yet God, in His grace, freely makes us right in His sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when He freed us from the penalty for our sins.

25 For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed His life, shedding His Blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair when He held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past,

26 for He was looking ahead and including them in what He would do in this present time. God did this to demonstrate His righteousness, for He Himself is fair and just, and He makes sinners right in His sight when they believe in Jesus.

Romans 4:4-8 NLT

4 When people work, their wages are not a gift, but something they have earned.

5 But people are counted as righteous, not because of their work, but because of their faith in God who forgives sinners.

6 David also spoke of this when he described the happiness of those who are declared righteous without working for it:

7 “Oh, what joy for those

whose disobedience is forgiven,

whose sins are put out of sight.

8 Yes, what joy for those

whose record The Lord has cleared of sin."

Romans 10:9,10 KJV

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth The Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Ephesians 2:4,5 KJV

4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for His great love wherewith He loved us,

5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

Ephesians 2:8,9 KJV

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is Tahe Gift Of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

I John 5:10-12 KJV

10 He that believeth on The Son Of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made Him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of His Son.

11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.

12 He that hath The Son hath life; and he that hath not The Son Of God hath not life.

Prayer:

Romans 8:35,37-39 NLT (Nothing Can Separate Us from God’s Love)

35 Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean He no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?

37 No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.

38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.

39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Bible Questions Answered:

My mother just passed on, will I know her in heaven?

Cindy/ Spokane, Washington

Bible Answer:

If she was a “born-again” Christian, the answer is a definite yes!

John 3:3 KJV

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

II Samuel 12:23 NLT "... I will go to him one day, but he cannot return to me.”

King David lost his first son with Bathsheba, and yet he stated that one day he would be able to go to him.

Matthew 17:1-8 KJV 1 And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, 2 And was transfigured before them: and His face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light. 3 And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with Him. 4 Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. 5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold A Voice out of the cloud, which said, This is My Beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye Him. 6 And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid. 7 And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid. 8 And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, save Jesus only.

Moses and Elijah had many many years ago passed from the earth, and yet, Peter, James and, John knew them, how could that be? It was through the power of God's Spirit that they did, they had immediate recognition.

Luke 16:19-31 NLT (The Rich Man and Lazarus) 19 Jesus said, “There was a certain rich man who was splendidly clothed in purple and fine linen and who lived each day in luxury. 20 At his gate lay a poor man named Lazarus who was covered with sores. 21 As Lazarus lay there longing for scraps from the rich man’s table, the dogs would come and lick his open sores. 22 “Finally, the poor man died and was carried by the angels to sit beside Abraham at the heavenly banquet. The rich man also died and was buried, 23 and he went to the place of the dead. There, in torment, he saw Abraham in the far distance with Lazarus at his side. 24 “The rich man shouted, ‘Father Abraham, have some pity! Send Lazarus over here to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue. I am in anguish in these flames.’ 25 “But Abraham said to him, ‘Son, remember that during your lifetime you had everything you wanted, and Lazarus had nothing. So now he is here being comforted, and you are in anguish. 26 And besides, there is a great chasm separating us. No one can cross over to you from here, and no one can cross over to us from there.’ 27 “Then the rich man said, ‘Please, Father Abraham, at least send him to my father’s home. 28 For I have five brothers, and I want him to warn them so they don’t end up in this place of torment.’ 29 “But Abraham said, ‘Moses and the prophets have warned them. Your brothers can read what they wrote.’ 30 “The rich man replied, ‘No, Father Abraham! But if someone is sent to them from the dead, then they will repent of their sins and turn to God.’ 31 “But Abraham said, ‘If they won’t listen to Moses and the prophets, they won’t be persuaded even if someone rises from the dead.’”

This is “not” a parable. Jesus never used proper names in a parable! This is a true account of Lazarus and the rich man. They after death, knew each other and Abraham, whom they had never met!

Heavenly Regathering:

I Thessalonians 4:13-17 NLT (The Hope of the Resurrection) 13 And now, dear brothers and sisters, we want you to know what will happen to the believers who have died so you will not grieve like people who have no hope. 14 For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus returns, God will bring back with Him the believers who have died. 15 We tell you this directly from The Lord: We who are still living when The Lord returns will not meet Him ahead of those who have died. 16 For The Lord Himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, the believers who have died will rise from their graves. 17 Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet The Lord in the air. Then we will be with The Lord forever. 18 So encourage each other with these words.

The Apostle Paul wrote to assure every Christian that there is coming a grand reunion day, and that we are to “encourage each other with these words.”

Prayer:

I Peter 5:7 KJV Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you.
