The Apostle Paul stated that man is, spirit, soul and, body.


This is what is called the “trichotomist,” view. Body, soul and, spirit.


Some believe that man is of two parts, body and soul (or spirit).

This group is called the “dichotomists.”


They believe that soul or spirit are one. (Two different verses, yet with the same meaning.)

“...yes I believe that according to Acts 16:31 my faith can save my family...”

If you are saying “By my faith for them, I believe they all will come to The Lord, one by one...”
That is good! But if you are implying that you can save them by your own coming to The Lord.....that would be false.

I cannot be “saved,” for you, nor you for me, no matter how well meaning that thought may be.

By Jesus claiming to be one with The Father, He was attesting to His divinity.

Jewish Old Testaments laws concerning blasphemy, such as claiming to be God, was considered blasphemous.

Now many have come up with countless ways and means why this scripture doesn't apply today! 

They Have Said: (Opponents Of The Scripture.)
“Authority” is not the right word to be used here, it is an object of poor translation.
This is only some advice to Timothy from Paul, and applies only to the church at Ephesus.
Etc. etc. etc.

You know, what we need  to do is to read on in the text!
Feminists, do not go on to read these verses!

I Timothy 2:12-14 KJV 
12 But I suffer (permit) not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

Reason #1
13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.

Reason #2
14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

The Apostle Paul said that the reason he did not want to see women preachers in the church was 

Reason #1 
Because Adam was first created!
Adam had the honor and distinction of being the first human created, (in the image of God). 

Why did God create human beings in His image. Certainly companionship must have been one reason.
Just how long Adam and The Lord were together before the introduction of Adam's need of a help mate, is not known.

Reason #2
14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

OK, we now come to Reason #2, why Paul said he did not want to see women in leadership positions in the church. ( i.e. preachers, deacons, etc. etc.)

Now this is the leaving place of some. This is not desired to be sure, but, this is where we separate the men from the boys.

Why did the Apostle Paul advocate such an idea?  He did so because of the difference between men and women! 

Read it again, just incase you missed it.

Does it come as a shock to  you that our world is becoming more and more “ungodly”?
Did you know there was a  time in America's 19th century, that if a woman put on a man's pair  of pants she would be sent to jail? Well, that is true.

Some would gladly counter, "Well Pastor, thank god we've come along way since then!"
The Word:
Deuteronomy 22:5 KJV
The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto The Lord thy God.

“Well, Pastor  if this were so, why don't we hear about it in our churches?”

It's all about building mega churches, pastors who follow what their congregations want to hear, and the money it brings!

II Timothy 4:3,4 KJV
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from The Truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

The evil one has an agenda, that of destroying what God has created.

Today's, talk and has been  now for some time, feminism (total equality among the sexes), and unisex.

Men and women are and are “not,” the same in all things as our scripture has pointed out (I Timothy 2:12-14). 

Men and women are both created by God, both have immortal souls, and our Lord gave His life for us both!

Our Lord, never called a woman for His disciple, not of the twelve, or the seventy. Why was that, weren't there any women around?

The answer dear friend if your heart is full of love for The Lord, is …..  
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WOMEN AND MEN!

“OK, Pastor, you keep saying that, what difference does sex make?"

The answer has nothing to do with sex, and yet everything to do with it.

Women are “not,” the same as men! No matters how hard our enemy is working on that! 
God in His infinite wisdom has created women and men different (and no, we are not talking about sex)!
Oh how the devil would like to destroy that truth (through “Unisex and Feminism!)

But  now in our investigation of  this verse, we see another answer.

That answer is the obvious one, a woman is an emotional being, and our Lord has created her so, that she would be close to and caring to her children!

What man, can say that he is as loving and caring as a mother?  There are none!
This is a work and calling of Almighty God!

Ever ask yourself the question, “Why did Lucifer go to Eve and not Adam?”

That's a good question to ask, and Lucifer knew the answer, do you?

He knew only too well the difference between Adam and Eve, and he used the difference to his advantage!

He appealed to the heart of a friend, someone who only wished every one well, “you will be like God.”
Her response was that of a believing caring woman. 
Woman Is a emotional, believing, caring individual, and God has made her so, so as to raise her  children.

James 1:17 KJV
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

Addendum:

This blog has really been long and intensive, but we must not close, until we say just a little on the subject of equality of the sexes in the sight of God.

Question: Are men and women equal in the sight of God?
Answer:  Yes!

Now although that is true, it goes without saying that The Creator has every right to assign roles to women and men, and He has!

To  the man He has ascribed the role of, priest of the home, the head of the home, provider, protector etc. etc.
To the woman He has ascribed the role of, life bearer, nurturer, child training, home making, etc. etc.

Now if you don't like this planing,  you must take it up with The Lord.

Every building must of necessity have a frame work. The floors, the walls, the ceiling, etc. etc. must have a frame to be attached too!

There are some 206 bones in the human body, and  man would be nothing more than a lump of flesh on the floor, if it were not for his God given (frame) body.

So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them.

There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Answer, yes! 

Depending on the church, The Lord's Supper is a matter of “transubstantiation, or consubstantiation,” etc. etc.

Terms:

Transubstantiation

In the Catholic church it is believed that the elements of communion are actually changed into the actual body and blood of The Lord Jesus Christ, according to the Priests prayer.

Consubstantiation:

A Luthren view of communion, Jesus is present in and with the elements of communion. Although the elements remain unchangedd, yet Christ is in and with them. Not the actual body and blood of Christ yet a grace yielding presence of The Lord to all who receive.

Reformed View:

Not actual body and blood, but yet a real presence of Christ in the bread and wine. Christ's grace giving presence given to all adherents.

Still others hold to what is known as the...

Memorial View:

No change in the elements.  Communion articals thought of as symbols (a remembrance) of what took place in the life of The Lord (i.e. death and resurrection.) The means of our salvation, not the taking of communion, but The Lord Jesus giving of His life's Blood for our redemption!

Our Lord, introduced the taking of Communion at what was the remembrance  of “The Passover.”

A time of the people of God's escape from the Egyptians.

For  us as Christians when we look upon communion, it does not “save us,” that was done by our Savior, it is because of  His precious Blood, that death, hell  and judgement is passed over us!

Death and judgement are “passed over” us, because of our Lord's sacrifice for us.

26 As they were eating, Jesus took some bread and blessed it. Then He broke it in pieces and gave it to the  disciples, saying, “Take this and eat it, for this is My Body.”

It is our Lord's concern to send out His people as witnesses.

Jesus sent the tweleve and the seventy two, as a message that He was coming to their villages, and as an example for us.

The Lord, calls His people to witness for Him, and He has given us the Power Of Attorney to use His name, when coming against the enemy.


In Luke 10:19 KJV these evil forces are called ….

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.


Revelation 12:9 KJV

And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.


Revelation 20:1,2 KJV

1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.

2 And he laid hold on the Dragon, that Old Serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,


In Luke 10:19 KJV our Lord is talking about “serpents and scorpions,” which are spiritual enemies.

In Mark 16:15-18 KJV, Jesus, again was talking about spiritual adversaries!

Mark 16:15-18 KJV

15 And He said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In My name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

An Explanation:

They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them;”

These are things that happen by accident or things done to them, meaning them harm.


The Word, gives us an example of this-


Acts 28:1-10 NLT (Paul on the Island of Malta)

1 Once we were safe on shore, we learned that we were on the island of Malta.

2 The people of the island were very kind to us. It was cold and rainy, so they built a fire on the shore to welcome us.


3 As Paul gathered an armful of sticks and was laying them on the fire, a poisonous snake, driven out by the heat, bit him on the hand.

4 The people of the island saw it hanging from his hand and said to each other, “A murderer, no doubt! Though he escaped the sea, justice will not permit him to live.”

5 But Paul shook off the snake into the fire and was unharmed.


6 The people waited for him to swell up or suddenly drop dead. But when they had waited a long time and saw that he wasn’t harmed, they changed their minds and decided he was a god.


7 Near the shore where we landed was an estate belonging to Publius, the chief official of the island. He welcomed us and treated us kindly for three days.

8 As it happened, Publius’s father was ill with fever and dysentery. Paul went in and prayed for him, and laying his hands on him, he healed him.

9 Then all the other sick people on the island came and were healed.

10 As a result we were showered with honors, and when the time came to sail, people supplied us with everything we would need for the trip.


Jesus, never used His power for show or to get attention!!


Matthew 4:5-7 KJV

5 Then the devil taketh Him up into the holy city, and setteth Him on a pinnacle of the temple,

6 And saith unto Him, If thou be The Son Of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give
His angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt The Lord thy God.
