early Christians held to this practice, but over time,
discontinued it.,
Samaritans face towards Mt. Gerizim.
Mohammedans face towards Mecca.
Does it matter, if we are facing East or West, when we
pray? No, because our God is omnipresent, that is He is every where.

Bible Questions Answered:
“...if
we as Christians have short changed a friend of some funds, must we
make it right with them?...”
Curt/

Bible Answer:
Bible Texts:
Yes, The Word talks about restitution.
The
Word: (New Testament Scriptures)
Matthew
5:23,24 KJV
23
Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest
that thy brother hath ought against thee;
24
Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be
reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.
Mark
12:30, 31 KJV
30
And thou shalt love The Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all
thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is
the first commandment.
31
And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as
thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
Luke
19:8 NLT
Meanwhile,
Zacchaeus (The chief tax collector in the region)
stood
before The Lord and said, “I will give half my wealth to the poor,
Lord, and if I have cheated people on their taxes, I will give them
back four times as much!”
Romans
12:17, 18 NLT
17
Never pay back evil with more evil. Do things in such a way that
everyone can see you are honorable.
18
Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone.
Romans 13:7-10 NLT (Love Fulfills God’s
Requirements)
7
Give to everyone what you owe them: Pay your taxes and government
fees to those who collect them, and give respect and honor to those
who are in authority.
8
Owe nothing to anyone—except for your obligation to love one
another. If you love your neighbor, you will fulfill the requirements
of God’s law.
9
For the commandments say, “You must not commit adultery. You must
not murder. You must not steal. You must not covet.” These—and
other such commandments—are summed up in this one commandment:
“Love your neighbor as yourself.”
10
Love does no wrong to others, so love fulfills the requirements of
God’s law.
II
Corinthians 8:21 KJV
Providing
for honest things, not only in the sight of T+he Lord, but also in
the sight of men.
Philippians
4:13 KJV
I
can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
James
5:16 NLT
Confess
your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be
healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and
produces wonderful results.
A Christian must make restitution, when at all possible,
but on thee other hand, be forgiving of others if they have wronged
us.
Restitution, may not be wise in some instances where a
confession may further harm one individual or family. Our first
responsibility is to confess to The Lord.
I
John 1:9 KJV
If
we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins,
and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Matthew
18:21-35 KJV
21
Then came Peter to Him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin
against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?
22
Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but,
Until seventy times seven.
23
Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which
would take account of his servants.
24
And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed
him ten thousand talents.
25
But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be
sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to
be made.
26
The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord,
have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.
27
Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed
him, and forgave him the debt.
28
But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants,
which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took
him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest.
29
And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him,
saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.
30
And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should
pay the debt.
31
So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry,
and came and told unto their lord all that was done.
32
Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou
wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst
me:
33
Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant,
even as I had pity on thee?
34
And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he
should pay all that was due unto him.
35
So likewise shall My Heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from
your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.
Matthew
5:42 KJV
Give
to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn
not thou away.
Matthew
6:12 NLT
and
forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us.
Prayer:
Romans
12:1 NLT
And
so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies
to God because of all He has done for you. Let them be a living and
holy sacrifice—the kind He will find acceptable. This is truly the
way to worship Him.

Prophecies, Fulfilled, In Jesus Christ. On The Cross, Given Gall And
Vinegar To Drink.
Bible Text:
Prophecy:
Psalm 69:21 KJV (In the time of
King David-1085-1015 B.C.)
They gave Me also gall for My meat;
and in My thirst they gave Me vinegar to drink.
Fulfilled:

Now there was set a vessel full of
vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon
hyssop, and put it to His mouth.
The
Word:
Matthew 27:34,48
KJV
34 They gave Him vinegar to drink
mingled with gall: and when He had tasted thereof, He would not
drink.
48 And straightway one of them ran,
and took a spunge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed,
and gave him to drink.
Mark 15:23 KJV
And they gave Him to drink wine
mingled with myrrh: but He received it not.
Wounded
for Me
Wounded for me,
wounded for me,
There on the cross
He was wounded for me;
Gone my
transgressions, and now I am free,
All because Jesus
was wounded for me.
Dying for me, dying
for me,
There on the cross
He was dying for me;
Now in His death my
redemption I see,
All because Jesus
was dying for me.
Risen for me, risen
for me,
Up from the grave
He has risen for me;
Now evermore from
death’s sting I am free,
All because Jesus
has risen for me.
Coming for me,
coming for me,
One day to earth He
is coming for me;
Then with what joy
His dear face I shall see,
Oh, how I praise
Him—He’s coming for me!

Deuteronomy
17:2,3 NLT
2
“When you begin living in the towns The Lord your God is giving

Deuteronomy 18:9-14 NLT (A Call to Holy Living)
9
“When you enter the land The Lord your God is giving you, be very
careful not to imitate the detestable customs of the nations living
there.
10
For example, never sacrifice your son or daughter as a burnt

fortune-telling, or use sorcery, or interpret omens, or engage in
witchcraft,
11
or cast spells, or function as mediums or psychics, or call forth the

12
Anyone who does these things is detestable to The Lord. It is because
the other nations have done these detestable things that The Lord
your God will drive them out ahead of you.

Job

Isaiah
8:19 NLT
Someone

But
shouldn’t people ask God for guidance?
Should
the living seek guidance from the dead?
Isaiah
47:10-14 NLT
10
“You felt secure in your wickedness. ‘No one sees me,’ you
said. But your ‘wisdom’ and ‘knowledge’ have led you astray
and you said, ‘I am the only one, and there is no other.’
11
So disaster will overtake you, and you won’t be able to charm it

your way out. A catastrophe will strike you suddenly, one for which
you are not prepared.
12
“Now use your magical charms Use the spells you have worked at all

But they are like straw burning in a fire; they cannot save
themselves from the flame. You will get no help from them at all..."
Jeremiah
10:1-3 NLT
1
Hear the word that The Lord speaks to you, O Israel!
2
This is what The Lord says: “Do not act like the other nations, who

Do
not be afraid of their predictions, even though other nations are
terrified by them.
3
Their ways are futile and foolish..."
Jeremiah
27:9,10 NLT
9
“‘Do not listen to your false prophets, fortune-tellers,
interpreters of dreams, mediums, and sorcerers who say, “The king
of Babylon will not conquer you.”
10
They are all liars, and their lies will lead to your being driven out
of your land. I will drive you out and send you far away to die.
Daniel 2:24-28 NLT (Daniel Interprets the Dream)
24
Then Daniel went in to see Arioch, whom the king had ordered to
execute the wise men of Babylon. Daniel said to him, “Don’t kill
the wise men. Take me to the king, and I will tell him the meaning of
his dream.”
25
Arioch quickly took Daniel to the king and said, “I have found one
of the captives from Judah who will tell the king the meaning of his
dream!”
26
The king said to Daniel (also known as Belteshazzar), “Is this
true? Can you tell me what my dream was and what it means?”
27
Daniel replied, “There are no wise men, enchanters, magicians, or
fortune-tellers who can reveal the king’s secret.
28
But there is a God in heaven who reveals secrets, and He has shown
King Nebuchadnezzar what will happen in the future. Now I will tell
you your dream and the visions you saw as you lay on your bed.
Micah
5:12 NLT
I

fortune-tellers.
Zephaniah
1:5,6 NLT
5
For they go up to their roofs and bow down to the sun, moon, and
stars. They claim to follow The Lord, but then they worship Molech,
too.
6
And I will destroy those who used to worship Me but now no longer do.
They no longer ask for The Lord’s guidance or seek My blessings.”
Zechariah
10:2 NLT
Household
gods give worthless advice, fortune-tellers predict only lies, and
interpreters of dreams pronounce falsehoods that give no comfort. So
My people are wandering like lost sheep; they are attacked because
they have no Shepherd.
Acts
16:16-18 NLT
16
One day as we were going down to the place of prayer, we met a slave
girl who had a spirit that enabled her to tell the future. She earned
a lot of money for her masters by telling fortunes.
17
She followed Paul and the rest of us, shouting, “These men are
servants of The Most High God, and they have come to tell you how to
be saved.”
18
This went on day after day until Paul got so exasperated that he
turned and said to the demon within her, “I command you in the name
of Jesus Christ to come out of her.” And instantly it left her.
I
John 4:1 KJV
Beloved,
believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of
God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
Prayer:
Psalm
111:10 KJV
The
fear of The Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding
have all they that do His commandments: His praise endureth for ever.
Daniel
2:19-23 NLT
19
That night the secret was revealed to Daniel in a vision. Then Daniel
praised The God Of Heaven.
20
He said, “Praise the name of God forever and ever, for He has all
wisdom and power.
21
He controls the course of world events; He removes kings and sets up
other kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the
scholars.
22
He reveals deep and mysterious things and knows what lies hidden in
darkness, though He is surrounded by light.
23
I thank and praise you, God of my ancestors, for you have given me
wisdom and strength. You have told me what we asked of you and
revealed to us what the king demanded.”

6 But I (Jesus Christ, God's eternal
Son. ed.) feel like a worm, less than human! People insult Me and
look down on Me.
7 Everyone who sees Me makes fun of
Me. They shake their heads and stick out their tongues at Me.
8 They say, “Call to The Lord (God
The Father) for help. Maybe He will save you. If He likes you so
much, surely He will rescue you!”
Fulfilled:
Matthew 27:27-31, 39-44 ERV A.D. 33
(Pilate’s
Soldiers Make Fun of Jesus)
27 Then
Pilate’s soldiers took Jesus into the governor’s palace. All the
soldiers gathered around Him.
28 They took
off Jesus’ clothes and put a red robe on Him.
29 Then they
made a crown from thorny branches and put it on His head, and they
put a stick in His right hand. Then they bowed before Him, making fun
of Him. They said, “We salute you, King Of The Jews!”
30 They spit on
Him. Then they took his stick and kept hitting Him on the head with
it.
31 After they
finished making fun of Him, the soldiers took off the robe and put
His own clothes on Him again. Then they led Him away to be killed on
a cross.
39 People walked by and shouted
insults at Jesus. They shook their heads
40 and said, “You said you could
destroy the Temple and build it again in three days. So save
yourself! Come down from that cross if you really are The Son Of
God!”
41 The leading priests, the teachers
of the law, and the older Jewish leaders were also there. They made
fun of Jesus the same as the other people did.
42 They said, “He saved others,
but He can’t save Himself! People say He is The king Of Israel. If
He is The King, He should come down now from the cross. Then we will
believe in Him.
43 He trusted God. So let God save
him now, if God really wants Him. He Himself said, ‘I am The Son Of
God.’”
44 And in the same way, the
criminals on the crosses beside Jesus also insulted Him.
The
Word:
Isaiah 50:6 KJV
I gave My back to the smiters, and
My cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not My face from
shame and spitting.
Matthew 20:18,19
KJV
18 Behold, we go up to Jerusalem;
and The Son Of Man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto
the scribes, and they shall condemn Him to death,
19 And shall deliver Him to the
Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify Him: and the third
day He shall rise again.
Mark 10:33,34
KJV
33 Saying, Behold, we go up to
Jerusalem; and The Son Of Man shall be delivered unto the chief
priests, and unto the scribes; and they shall condemn Him to death,
and shall deliver Him to the Gentiles:
34 And they shall mock Him, and
shall scourge Him, and shall spit upon Him, and shall kill Him: and
the third day He shall rise again.
Mark
15:16-20,29-32 NLT (The Soldiers Mock Jesus)
16 The soldiers took Jesus into the
courtyard of the governor’s headquarters (called the Praetorium)
and called out the entire regiment.
17 They dressed Him in a purple
robe, and they wove thorn branches into a crown and put it on His
head.
18 Then they saluted Him and
taunted, “Hail! King Of The Jews!”
19 And they struck Him on the head
with a reed stick, spit on Him, and dropped to their knees in mock
worship.
20 When they were finally tired of
mocking Him, they took off the purple robe and put His own clothes on
Him again. Then they led Him away to be crucified.
29 The people passing by shouted
abuse, shaking their heads in mockery. “Ha! Look at you now!”
they yelled at Him. “You said you were going to destroy the Temple
and rebuild it in three days.
30 Well then, save yourself and come
down from the cross!”
31 The leading priests and teachers
of religious law also mocked Jesus. “He saved others,” they
scoffed, “but He can’t save Himself!
32 Let this Messiah, this King Of
Israel, come down from the cross so we can see it and believe Him!”
Even the men who were crucified with Jesus ridiculed Him.
Luke 18:31-33
KJV
31 Then He took unto Him the twelve,
and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things
that are written by the prophets concerning The Son Of Man shall be
accomplished.
32 For He shall be delivered unto
the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully entreated, and
spitted on:
33 And they shall scourge Him, and
put Him to death: and the third day He shall rise again.
Luke 22:63-65
NLT
63 The guards in charge of Jesus
began mocking and beating Him.
64 They blindfolded Him and said,
“Prophesy to us! Who hit you that time?”
65 And they hurled all sorts of
terrible insults at Him.
Luke 23:10,11,
35-37,39-43 KJV
10 And the chief priests and scribes
stood and vehemently accused Him.
r11 And Herod with his men of war
set Him at naught, and mocked Him, and arrayed Him in a gorgeous
robe, and sent Him again to Pilate.
35 And the people stood beholding.
And the rulers also with them derided Him, saying, He saved others;
let Him save Himself, if He be Christ, The Chosen Of God.
36 And the soldiers also mocked Him,
coming to Him, and offering Him vinegar,
37 And saying, If thou be The King
Of The Jews, save thyself.
39 And one of the malefactors which
were hanged railed on Him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself
and us.
40 But the other answering rebuked
him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same
condemnation?
41 And we indeed justly; for we
receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing
amiss.
42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord,
remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.
43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I
say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with Me in paradise.
Hebrews 2:9 KJV
But we see Jesus, who was made a
little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with
glory and honor; that He by the grace of God should taste death for
every man.
Hallelujah!
What a Savior!
“Man of Sorrows!”
what a name
For The Son Of God,
who came
Ruined sinners to
reclaim.
Hallelujah! What a
Savior!
Bearing shame and
scoffing rude,
In my place
condemned He stood;
Sealed my pardon
with His blood.
Hallelujah! What a
Savior!
Guilty, vile, and
helpless we;
Spotless Lamb Of
God was He;
“Full atonement!”
can it be?
Hallelujah! What A
Savior!
Lifted up was He to
die;
“It is finished!”
was His cry;
Now in Heav’n
exalted high.
Hallelujah! What A
Savior!
When He comes, our
glorious King,
All His ransomed
home to bring,
Then anew His song
we’ll sing:
Hallelujah! What A
Savior!
