Bible Questions Answered:
“...when
do we become children of God's family...”
Rosa/
Conroe, Texas U.S.A.
Bible Answer:
Bible Texts:
We
become members of the family of God, when we receive The Lord Jesus
Christ as our Savior.
Galatians
3:26-29 NLT
26
For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus.
27
And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on
Christ, like putting on new clothes.
28
There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female.
For you are all one in Christ Jesus.
29
And now that you belong to Christ, you are the true children of
Abraham. You are his heirs, and God’s promise to Abraham belongs to
you.
God's Children, The
Body Of Christ:
Romans
12:4,5 NLT
4
Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special
function,
5 so
it is with Christ’s body. We are many parts of one body, and we all
belong to each other.
I
Corinthians 1:10-17 KJV
10
Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our
Lord
Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no
divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the
same mind and in the same judgment.
11
For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which
are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.
12
Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of
Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.
13
Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in
the name of Paul?
14 I
thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius;
15
Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name.
16
And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not
whether I baptized any other.
17
For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach The Gospel: not with
wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none
effect.
I
Corinthians 6:15-20 KJV
15
Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then
take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot?
God forbid.
16
What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body?
for two, saith He, shall be one flesh.
17
But he that is joined unto The Lord is one spirit.
18
Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but
he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
19
What? know ye not that your body is the temple of
The
Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your
own?
20
For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body,
and in your spirit, which are God's.
I
Corinthians 10:16,17 NLT
16
When we bless the cup at The Lord’s Table, aren’t we sharing in
The Blood Of Christ? And when we break the bread, aren’t we sharing
in The Body Of Christ?
17
And though we are many, we all eat from one loaf of bread, showing
that we are one body.
I
Corinthians 11:23-32 KJV
23
For I have received of The Lord that which also I delivered unto you,
that The Lord Jesus the same night in which He was betrayed took
bread:
24
And when He had given thanks, He brake it, and said, Take, eat: this
is My Body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of Me.
25
After the same manner also He took the cup, when He had supped,
saying, this cup is The New Testament in My Blood: this do ye, as oft
as ye drink it, in remembrance of Me.
26
For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew The
Lord's death till He come.
27
Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of The
Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of
The
Body And Blood Of The Lord.
28
But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and
drink of that cup.
29
For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh
damnation to himself, not discerning The Lord's Body.
30
For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.
31
For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
32
But when we are judged, we are chastened of The Lord, that we should
not be condemned with the world.
I Corinthians 12:12-30 NLT (One Body with Many Parts)
12
The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one whole
body. So it is with the body of Christ.
13
Some of us are Jews, some are Gentiles, some are slaves, and some are
free. But we have all been baptized into one body by one Spirit, and
we all share the same Spirit.
14
Yes, the body has many different parts, not just one part.
15
If the foot says, “I am not a part of the body because I am not a
hand,” that does not make it any less a part of the body.
16
And if the ear says, “I am not part of the body because I am not an
eye,” would that make it any less a part of the body?
17
If the whole body were an eye, how would you hear? Or if your whole
body were an ear, how would you smell anything?
18
But our bodies have many parts, and God has put each part just where
He wants it.
19
How strange a body would be if it had only one part!
20
Yes, there are many parts, but only one body.
21
The eye can never say to the hand, “I don’t need you.” The head
can’t say to the feet, “I don’t need you.”
22
In fact, some parts of the body that seem weakest and least important
are actually the most necessary.
23
And the parts we regard as less honorable are those we clothe with
the greatest care. So we carefully protect those parts that should
not be seen,
24
while the more honorable parts do not require this special care. So
God has put the body together such that extra honor and care are
given to those parts that have less dignity.
25
This makes for harmony among the members, so that all the members
care for each other.
26
If one part suffers, all the parts suffer with it, and if one part is
honored, all the parts are glad.
27
All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of
it.
Ephesians
1:20-23 KJV
20
Which He wrought in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead, and set
Him at His own right hand in the heavenly places,
21
Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and
every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that
which is to come:
22
And hath put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be
The
Head over all things to the church,
23
Which is His Body, the fulness of Him that filleth all in all.
Ephesians
2:11-18,19-22 NLT
(Oneness and Peace in Christ)
11
Don’t forget that you Gentiles used to be outsiders. You were
called “uncircumcised heathens” by the Jews, who were proud of
their circumcision, even though it affected only their bodies and not
their hearts.
12
In those days you were living apart from Christ. You were excluded
from citizenship among the people of Israel, and you did not know the
covenant promises God had made to them. You lived in this world
without God and without hope.
13
But now you have been united with Christ Jesus. Once you were far
away from God, but now you have been brought near to Him through The
Blood Of Christ.
14
For Christ Himself has brought peace to us. He united Jews and
Gentiles into one people when, in His own body on the cross, He broke
down the wall of hostility that separated us.
15
He did this by ending the system of law with its commandments and
regulations. He made peace between Jews and Gentiles by creating in
Himself one new people from the two groups.
16
Together as one body, Christ reconciled both groups to God by means
of His death on the cross, and our hostility toward each other was
put to death.
17
He brought this Good News of peace to you Gentiles who were far away
from Him, and peace to the Jews who were near.
18
Now all of us can come to The Father through the same
Holy
Spirit because of what Christ has done for us.
(A Temple for The Lord)
19
So now you Gentiles are no longer strangers and foreigners. You are
citizens along with all of God’s holy people. You are members of
God’s family.
20
Together, we are His house, built on the foundation of the apostles
and the prophets. And
The
Cornerstone is Christ Jesus Himself.
21
We are carefully joined together in Him, becoming a holy temple for
The Lord.
22
Through Him you Gentiles are also being made part of this dwelling
where God lives by His Spirit.
Ephesians
3:6 KJV
That
the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, and of the same body, and
partakers of His promise in Christ by The Gospel:
Ephesians
4:4,12,15,16,25 NLT
4
For there is one body and one Spirit, just as you have been called to
one glorious hope for the future.
12
Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and
build up the church,
The
Body Of Christ.
15
"...speak The Truth in love, growing in every way more and more
like Christ, who is The Head of His Body, the church.
16
He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its
own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole
body is healthy and growing and full of love.
25
"...for we are all parts of the same body.
Ephesians
5:23,29,30 NLT
23
For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is The Head
Of The church: and He is
The
Savior Of The Body.
29
No one hates his own body but feeds and cares for it, just as Christ
cares for the church.
30
And we are members of His body.
Colossians
1:18,24 KJV
18
And He is The Head Of The Body, the church: who is The
Beginning,
The Firstborn from the dead; that in all things He might have the
preeminence.
24
Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is
behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for His Body's sake,
which is the church:
Colossians
2:18,19 NLT
18
Don’t let anyone condemn you by insisting on pious self-denial or
the worship of angels, saying they have had visions about these
things. Their sinful minds have made them proud,
19
and they are not connected to Christ, The Head Of The Body. For He
holds the whole body together with its joints and ligaments, and it
grows as God nourishes it.
Colossians
3:15 NLT
And
let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as
members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be
thankful.
A
Child Of The King
My Father is rich in houses and lands,
He holdeth the wealth of the world in His hands!
Of rubies and diamonds, of silver and gold,
His coffers are full, He has riches untold.
Chorus:
I’m a child of the King,
A child of the King:
With Jesus my Savior,
I’m a child of the King.
My Father’s own Son, the Savior of men,
Once wandered on earth as the poorest of them;
But now He is pleading our pardon on high,
That we may be His, when He comes by and by.
I once was an outcast stranger on earth,
A sinner by choice, an alien by birth,
But I’ve been adopted, my name’s written down,
An heir to a mansion, a robe and a crown.
A tent or a cottage, why should I care?
They’re building a palace for me over there;
Though exiled from home, yet still may I sing:
All glory to God, I’m a child of the King.

whereby we must be saved.”
Acts 16:30,31

be saved?
31 And they said, Believe on The
Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
