First of all, we are received or not received, according to our acceptance of God Gift, The Lord Jesus Christ, The Savior.

John 3:16,17,36 KJV
16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His Only Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.

36 He that believeth on The Son hath everlasting Life: and he that believeth not The Son shall not see Life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

We are not saved by our works.

Ephesians 2:8,9 KJV

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is The Gift Of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Concerning Christian works, it is not a question of whether or not we have done the best we can, but rather have we been obedient to the whole council of God.

All the commands of our Lord, are more than possible to lived by or they would not have been given.
