The Fulfillment:
Luke 2:1-7 KJV B.C. 5 (Christ at
30 years of age began His ministry.)
1 And it came to pass in those days,
that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus that all the world
should be taxed.
2 (And this taxing was first made
when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.)
3 And all went to be taxed, every
one into his own city.
4 And Joseph also went up from
Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of
David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and
lineage of David:)
5 To be taxed with Mary his espoused
wife, being great with child.
6 And so it was, that, while they
were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.
7 And she brought forth her
Firstborn son, and wrapped Him in swaddling clothes, and laid Him in
a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
Luke 3:21-23 KJV
21 Now when all the people were
baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and
praying, the heaven was opened,
22 And The Holy Ghost descended in a
bodily shape like A Dove upon Him, and A Voice came from heaven,
which said, Thou art My Beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.
23 And Jesus Himself began to be
about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed)
The Son Of Joseph, which was the son
of Heli,
From the command to
restore Jerusalem, to the coming of The Messiah, was to be 69 weeks
(483 years).
Numbers 14:34
NLT
“Because your men explored the
land for forty days, you must wander in the wilderness for forty
years—a year for each day, suffering the consequences of your sins.
Then you will discover what it is like to have Me for an enemy.’
1 day = 1 year
1 week = 7 years
7 weeks = 49 years
62 weeks = 434 years
If we count
backwards from the beginning of The Lord's ministry, we will confirm
the date to restoring Jerusalem.
The commandment to
restore was given in 457 B.C. (Ezra 7:11-26), if we add our
Lord's 30 years, we have 487 years.
Our Gregorian
calendar is off by some 4 years, subtract this and we arrive at 483
years, which is some 69 weeks. (Exactly as Gabriel stated.)
The last 70th
week yet to be fulfilled.
