Bible Lesson: Titles Of The Church:
Church Title: Heavenly Jerusalem
Bible Text:
Hebrews 12:18-29 KJV
18 For ye are not come unto the
mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto
blackness, and darkness, and tempest,
19 And the sound of a trumpet, and
the voice of words; which voice they that heard intreated that the
word should not be spoken to them any more:
20 (For they could not endure that
which was commanded, And if so much as a beast touch the mountain, it
shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart:
21 And so terrible was the sight,
that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake:)
22 But ye are come unto Mount Sion,
and unto the city of The Living God,
The Heavenly Jerusalem, and
to an innumerable company of angels,
23 To the general assembly and
church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God The
Judge Of All, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
24 And to Jesus The Mediator Of The
New Covenant, and to The Blood Of Sprinkling, that speaketh better
things than that of Abel.
25 See that ye refuse not Him that
speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused Him that spake on
earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from Him that
speaketh from heaven:
26 Whose voice then shook the earth:
but now He hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth
only, but also heaven.
27 And this word, Yet once more,
signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things
that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.
28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom
which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God
acceptably with reverence and Godly fear:
29 For our God is a consuming fire.
“Mount Sion, the
city of The Living God, The Heavenly Jerusalsm,” not earthly
Jerusalem, with it constant fighting and wars, but to The Heavenly
Jerusalem.
Notice well, it is
not Mount Sinai, were laws were instituted, but Mount Sion
23 To the general assembly and
church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to
God The Judge Of All, and to the
spirits of just men made perfect,
24 And to Jesus The Mediator Of The
New Covenant,
Notice well, it is
not the Old Covenant, but the New Covenant that exists in The
Heavenly Jerusalem.
Hebrews 8:6-11
KJV
6 But now hath He obtained a more
excellent ministry, by how much also He is
The Mediator of a better covenant,
which was established upon better promises.
7 For if that first covenant had
been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.
8 For finding fault with them, He
saith, Behold, the days come, saith The Lord, when I will make a new
covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
9 Not according to the covenant that
I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to
lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in My
covenant, and I regarded them not, saith The Lord.
10 For this is the covenant that I
will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith The Lord;
I will put My laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts:
and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to Me a people:
11 And they shall not teach every
man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know The Lord:
for all shall know Me, from the least to the greatest.

Heavenly Jerusalem:

ye, ye high hills? this is the hill which God desireth to dwell in;
yea, The
Lord will dwell in it for ever.
17 The
chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands of angels:
The Lord is
among them, as in Sinai, in the holy place.
23 God The Judge Of All, and to
the spirits of just men made
perfect,
24 And to Jesus The Mediator Of The
New Covenant

Wear
A Crown
Am
I a soldier of the cross,
A follower of the Lamb,
And shall I
fear to own His cause,
Or blush to speak His Name?
Refrain
And
when the battle’s over
We shall wear a crown!
Yes, we shall
wear a crown!
Yes, we shall wear a crown!
And when the battle’s
over
We shall wear a crown
In the new Jerusalem
Wear a crown
(wear a crown)
Wear a crown (wear a crown)
Wear a bright and
shining crown;
And when the battle’s over
We shall wear a
crown
In the new Jerusalem.
Must
I be carried to the skies
On flowery beds of ease,
While others
fought to win the prize,
And sailed through bloody seas?
Refrain
Are
there no foes for me to face?
Must I not stem the flood?
Is
this vile world a friend to grace,
To help me on to God?
Refrain
