"...because...thou standest by
faith. Be not highminded, but fear:"
Romans 12:15,16 KJV
15 Rejoice with them that do
rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
16 Be of the same mind one toward
another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low
estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
Romans 12:15,16 NLT
15 Be happy with those who are
happy, and weep with those who weep.
16 Live in harmony with each other.

don’t think you know it all!
I Timothy 6:17 KJV
Charge them that are rich in this
world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain
riches, but in The Living God, who giveth us richly all things to
enjoy;
II Timothy 3:1-5 KJV
1 This know also, that in the last
days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their
own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to
parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection,
trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of
those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded,
lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but
denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
God answers prayer!
Rebuke the spirit of highmindedness! Pray for those who are
highminded, that God will reveal to them the humble example, given to
us by our Savior.
Now what is true of
men is true of countries of the world as well!
Jeremiah 49:16
KJV
Thy terribleness hath deceived thee,
and the pride of thine heart, O thou that dwellest in the clefts of
the rock, that holdest the height of the hill: though thou shouldest
make thy nest as high as the eagle, I will bring thee down from
thence, saith The Lord.
Obadiah 1:4 KJV
Though thou exalt thyself as the
eagle, and though thou set thy nest among the stars, thence will I
bring thee down, saith The Lord.
Humility

are riches, and honor, and life.
Isaiah 57:15 KJV
For thus saith The High And Lofty
One That Inhabiteth Eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high
and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble
spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart
of the contrite ones.
Micah 6:8 KJV

good; and what doth The Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and

Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto
your souls.

KJV
2 And Jesus called a little child
unto Him, and set him in the midst of them,
3 And said, Verily I say unto you,
Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not
enter into the kingdom of heaven.
4 Whosoever therefore shall humble
himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of
heaven.
Luke 14:7-11 KJV
7 And He put forth a parable to
those which were bidden, when He marked how they chose out the chief
rooms; saying unto them.
8 When thou art bidden of any man to
a wedding, sit not down in the highest room; lest a more honorable
man than thou be bidden of him;
9 And he that bade thee and him come
and say to thee, Give this man place; and thou begin with shame to
take the lowest room.
10 But when thou art bidden, go and
sit down in the lowest room; that when he that bade thee cometh, he
may say unto thee, Friend, go up higher: then shalt thou have worship
in the presence of them that sit at meat with thee.
11 For whosoever exalteth himself
shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
Luke 22:24-27
NLT
24 Then they began to argue among
themselves about who would be the greatest among them.
25 Jesus told them, “In this world
the kings and great men lord it over their people, yet they are
called ‘friends of the people.’
26 But among you it will be
different. Those who are the greatest among you should take the
lowest rank, and the leader should be like a servant.
27 Who is more important, the one
who sits at the table or the one who serves? The one who sits at the
table, of course. But not here! For I am among you as one who serves.

than themselves.

things, but every man also on the things of others.

also in Christ Jesus:
8 And being found in fashion as A
Man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the
death of the cross.
