Weary-Do Not Be
Bible Questions Answered:
“ a mother of four, working as does
my husband, can't go to church as a family because work routines.
Maybe as a Christian we shouldn't wear out, but I'm wondering wheres
the time off, when do things get easier? It just seems like
everything is such a burden today, is that only me?...”

Bible Answer:
Life will have its burdens for all,
life is a time of testing.
Matthew 5:45 NLT
"...your Father in heaven...he
gives His sunlight to both the evil and the good, and He sends rain
on the just and the unjust alike.
Don't ever believe anyone who tells
you Christian people will never go through trials and hardships!
Isaiah 43:1-3 KJV
1 But now thus saith The Lord that
created thee...Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee
by thy name; thou art Mine.
2 When thou passest through the
waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not
overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be
burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
3 For I am The Lord thy God, the
Holy One of Israel, thy Savior..."
Matthew 28:20 KJV
"...lo, I am with you always,
even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Hebrews 11:32-40
NLT
32 How much more do I need to say?
It would take too long to recount the stories of the faith of Gideon,
Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, and all the prophets.
33 By faith these people overthrew
kingdoms, ruled with justice, and received what God had promised
them. They shut the mouths of lions,
34 quenched the flames of fire, and
escaped death by the edge of the sword. Their weakness was turned to
strength. They became strong in battle and put whole armies to
flight.
35 Women received their loved ones
back again from death. But others were tortured, refusing to turn
from God in order to be set free. They placed their hope in a better
life after the resurrection.
36 Some were jeered at, and their
backs were cut open with whips. Others were chained in prisons.
37 Some died by stoning, some were
sawed in half, and others were killed with the sword. Some went about
wearing skins of sheep and goats, destitute and oppressed and
mistreated.
38 They were too good for this
world, wandering over deserts and mountains, hiding in caves and
holes in the ground.
39 All these people earned a good
reputation because of their faith, yet none of them received all that
God had promised.
40 For God had something better in
mind for us, so that they would not reach perfection without us.
Hebrews 12:1-4 NLT
1 Therefore,
since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life
of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down,
especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with
endurance the race God has set before us.
2 We do this by
keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects
our faith. Because of the joy awaiting Him, He endured the cross,
disregarding its shame. Now He is seated in the place of honor beside
God’s throne.
3 Think
of all the hostility He endured from sinful people; then you won’t
become weary and give up.
4 After all,
you have not yet given your lives in your struggle against sin.
Today, more than ever, we must
remember again the precious promises of our living God:
Job 17:9 NLT
The righteous keep moving forward, and those with clean hands
become stronger and stronger.
Matthew 11:28 KJV
Come unto Me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will
give you rest.
John 14:27 KJV
Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you: not as the world
giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let
it be afraid.
I Corinthians
2:9 KJV
But as it is
written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into
the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that
love Him.
I Corinthians
10:13 MSG
No test or
temptation that comes your way is beyond the course of what others
have had to face. All you need to remember is that God will never let
you down; He’ll never let you be pushed past your limit; He’ll
always be there to help you come through it.
II Corinthians
4:1,16-18 KJV
1 Therefore
seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint
not;
16 For which
cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward
man is renewed day by day.
17 For our
light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far
more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
18 While we
look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are
not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things
which are not seen are eternal.
Galatians 6:9
KJV
And let us not be weary in
well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
II Thessalonians 3:13 KJV
But ye, brethren, be not weary
in well doing.
Hebrews 13:5 KJV
"... He hath said, I will
never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
Revelation 2:10
KJV
Fear none of those things which thou
shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison,
that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou
faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
Revelation 3:11
KJV
Behold, I come quickly: hold that
fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
Matthew 6:9-13
KJV
9 After this manner therefore pray
ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be
done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we
forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into
temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
