Bible Questions Answered:
“...I heard them say paraklete, but I
never understood what that was...”
Sheila/ Nice, France (Alps-Cote d'Azur)
Bible Answer:
The Paraclete, is the third person of
the Godhead, The Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the Christians,
Comforter, Counselor, Helper and Advocate.
Here is what The Word Of God says
regarding The Holy Spirit:
All Christians, are baptized in The
Spirit.
I Corinthians 12:13 KJV
For by one Spirit are we all
baptized into one body, whether we be Jews
or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to
drink into one Spirit.
Friends,
either this verse is true or it is false.
Thank God, it is
true! Every Christian, has God The Holy Spirit living within them,
because we have all been baptized in The Spirit!
The Apostle Paul plainly said so!
By the end of this year, this Pastor, hopes to have no less than 4
ebooks in Amazon Kindle, and one of these up coming books, plainly
describes the differences between a Christian and a Pentecostal
believer. Do you know the difference? What would that difference
be called?
John 14:16-18
KJV (Jesus)
16 And I will pray The Father, and
He shall give you another Comforter, that He may
abide with you for ever;
17 Even The Spirit Of Truth; whom
the world cannot receive, because it seeth Him not, neither
knoweth Him: but ye know Him; for He dwelleth
with you, and shall be in you.
18 I will not leave you comfortless:
I will come to you.
The Holy Spirit, is
so wonderful, Himself, that God states His being imputed into our
hearts and lives, as Christians, is but a precious installment, of
what glories wait ahead, in The Fathers Kingdom Of Heaven!
II Corinthians 1:21,22 KJV
21 Now He which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God;
22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of The Spirit in our hearts.
II Corinthians 1:21,22 MSG
21 It is God Himself who makes us, together with you, sure of
our life in union with Christ; it is God Himself who has set us
apart,
22 who has placed His mark of ownership upon us, and who has
given us The Holy Spirit in our hearts as the guarantee of all that He has in store for us.
Homily:
When someone decides to buy a home, a home of their dreams. They
will do as much as they can to secure that home. They more than likely do not have the amount of money needed to buy the home, so they will
have to seek a loan for that. But, to secure the deal, i.e. so that
none other may come and snatch away the prize, the couple, may well
pay some money to “secure the house.” This money is called
“Earnest-Money.” And the seller will make sure it is high enough
so that they will be back to buy the home. The earnest-money, could
be some thousands of dollars, but the home is secured for sale (to
them) by it.
God in His great love has told us before Calvary...
John 14:18 KJV
“I will not leave you
comfortless: I will come to you.”
And our Lord, does
come to us, through the power and person of God The Holy Spirit.
His wonderful
living presence in the heart and life of the believer, our God
whispers....He is but a foretaste (earnest) of the glory which lies
ahead!
So, what is the
message for today? Keep going on for The Lord!
Hebrews 12:1-13
MSG
1-3 Do you see what this means—all
these pioneers who blazed the way, all these veterans cheering us on?
It means we’d better get on with it. Strip down, start running—and
never quit! No extra spiritual fat, no parasitic sins. Keep your
eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we’re in.
Study how He did it. Because He never lost sight of where He was
headed—that exhilarating finish in and with God—He could put up
with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever. And now He’s
there, in the place of honor, right alongside God. When you find
yourselves flagging in your faith, go over that story again, item by
item, that long litany of hostility He plowed through. That will
shoot adrenaline into your souls!
4-11 In this all-out match against
sin, others have suffered far worse than you, to say nothing of what
Jesus went through—all that bloodshed! So don’t feel sorry for
yourselves. Or have you forgotten how good parents treat children,
and that God regards you as His children?
My dear child, don’t shrug off
God’s discipline,
but don’t be crushed by it
either.
It’s the child He loves that He
disciplines;
the child He embraces, He also
corrects.
God is educating you; that’s why
you must never drop out. He’s treating you as dear children. This
trouble you’re in isn’t punishment; it’s training, the normal
experience of children. Only irresponsible parents leave children to
fend for themselves. Would you prefer an irresponsible God? We
respect our own parents for training and not spoiling us, so why not
embrace God’s training so we can truly live? While we were
children, our parents did what seemed best to them. But God is doing
what is best for us, training us to live God’s holy best. At the
time, discipline isn’t much fun. It always feels like it’s going
against the grain. Later, of course, it pays off handsomely, for it’s
the well-trained who find themselves mature in their relationship
with God.
12-13 So don’t sit around on your
hands! No more dragging your feet! Clear the path for long-distance
runners so no one will trip and fall, so no one will step in a hole
and sprain an ankle. Help each other out. And run for it!
