graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
53 And came out
of the graves after His resurrection, and went into the
holy city, and appeared unto many.
Matthew, alone, relates to us these
wonderful events. After (not before, not at the same time, but
“after,) the resurrection of Jesus, other saints were resurrected
from the dead.
I Corinthians 15:20-23 KJV (Christ
The First fruits of God's spiritual harvest. see Leviticus
23:9-22.)
20 But now is Christ risen from the
dead, and become The First fruits of them that slept.
21 For since by man came death, by
Man came also the resurrection of the dead.
22 For as in Adam all die, even so
in Christ shall all be made alive.
23 But every man in his own order:
Christ The First fruits; afterward they that are Christ's at
His coming.
Acts 26:22,23 KJV

God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great,
saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did

that He should be the first that should rise from the dead,

Jesus Christ, God's Son, became the
first, to be resurrected into a Immortal Glorified risen body.
Those who were resurrected on Christ's
resurrection day, were not resurrected into immortal glorified
bodies, but into their earthly bodies, meaning again one day they
would die.
Well, why this resurrection of these
others?
In the first place they were...
- Righteous dead, those who died in hope of a coming Messiah.
- They added to the great throng of witnesses of Christ's miraculous resurrection.

important and what had also been passed on to me. Christ died for our
sins, just as the Scriptures said.
4 He was buried, and He was raised
from the dead on the third day, just as the Scriptures said.
5 He was seen by Peter and

than 500 of His followers at one time, most of whom are still
alive, though some have died.
7 Then He was seen by James
and later by all the apostles.

made this promise to His followers:

place for you.

for you, I will come again, and receive you unto Myself; that where I

As God's people,
we work and we witness of our risen Savior, but the day will come as
He promised, when He will return for His people!

shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead
shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible shall
have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on
immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is
written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
55 O death, where is thy sting? O
grave, where is thy victory?

giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

I Thessalonians
4:13-18 NLT
13 And now, dear brothers and
sisters, we want you to know what will happen to the believers who
have died so you will not grieve like people who have no hope.
14 For since we believe that Jesus
died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus
returns, God will bring back with Him the believers who have died.
15 We tell you this directly from
The Lord: We who are still living when The Lord returns will not meet
Him ahead of those who have died.
16 For The Lord Himself will come
down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the
archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, the Christians
who have died will rise from their graves.
17 Then, together with them, we who
are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the
clouds to meet The Lord in the air. Then we will be with The Lord
forever.
